it finally happened

wow!

The IP address Craftnite2 was using to connect to craftnite’s servers got banned some time ago. I just realized this today. The IP address, 172.60.175.43 would refuse to connect to the server. when modified (to be precise, it is 176.163.18.46 now), it connected perfectly.

Meaning…

The developers are aware of this community-made project to improve on their bad game. Hopefully this doesn’t mean they implement an anticheat system, and actually improve on the features of their game.

how did we get here…

Craftnite2 is a project designed to improve on the game craftnite. It is a community-made project, and is not affiliated with the developers of craftnite. The developer of craftnite had the game sold to him, and refuses to update it.The game is full of bugs, hackers, and pedophiles, and the developer does absolutely nothing about it.

I decided to do something about it, and made craftnite2. It’s based on the original game, but with a few changes (mainly hacks, although bug fixes are planned). The codebase is almost exactly the same. Craftnite2 is essentially a reverse-engineered copy of craftnite with a couple additions.

A question I still wonder is how this happened. I have a couple theories, but unfortunately I cannot go into detail as it would jeopardize the project. Rest assured, measures have been taken to prevent this from happening again.

Development on Craftnite2 has been halted for quite some time now, as I work on supernova and this personal website. I am planning on getting back to it soon, and adding some new features (namely a GUI).
I will be publishing a video on my youtube channel soon, showcasing the current state of craftnite2. Craftnite2 will remain private until then.
