Supernova is a multipurpose closed-source web OS designed with a focus on providing an enhanced user experience. Besides its attractive GUI, it provides numerous complex themes that allow users to personalize their interaction with the shell. The beauty of Supernova’s GUI is complemented by its efficiency in facilitating development. Equipped with powerful tools, an SDK and a developer-friendly environment, Supernova makes it easy for developers to build, test, and deploy their applications on the Supernova platform and to the Supernova Package Registry. Its compatibility with numerous programming languages* further broadens its reach, allowing a wide range of software developers to benefit from its features.
Supernova’s intent is to simulate (not emulate) the Windows operating system, as well as provide a Linux-based environment for developers to work in.

In 2021 and 2022, work began on Supernova, but the codebase was scrapped and rewritten in mid-2022. In 2023, Supernova was made closed-source.
Supernova has gone through four renames in the past years.
Supernova is still in development and is not yet available for public use. Features may be moved, added, or removed at any time.
The official developer SDK for Supernova. The kernel was built in conjunction with this SDK, so it is the recommended SDK for all app developers deploying on Supernova.
Cloud authentication system designed for Supernova. With Supernova ID, you can create access a variety of different cloud features on Supernova and other platforms.
Cloud synchronization system for Supernova. Allows for file save in the cloud, settings sync, dynamic feature flags, etc.
